The CCTRID Student Scholarship was created for the purpose of providing financial assistance to members who are currently enrolled in an American Sign Language, Deaf Studies, or Sign Language Interpreting degree program.
RECIPIENT WILL BE PRESENTED WITH THE FOLLOWING:
CRITERIA:
Failure to follow the guidelines below will render the application void:
The applicant must be currently enrolled full-time and/or taking 6 or more credit hours in an American Sign Language, Deaf Studies, or Sign Language Interpreting degree program.
The applicant must have completed at least one semester of an American Sign Language, Deaf Studies, or Sign Language Interpreting degree program.
The applicant must have a GPA of at least 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) in an American Sign Language, Deaf Studies, or Sign Language Interpreting degree program.
The applicant must submit the following:
a. A completed application form
b. One copy of official transcript(s) showing successful completion of coursework.
c. A typed, maximum two-page, double-spaced essay in which the applicant:
- Supports his/her reasons for pursuing the degree
- Supports the impact this scholarship will have to assist him/her.
d. Completed Reference Forms from two persons who have knowledge of the applicant’s character, potential, and goals. (One person may be a family member.)
